identify unknown rotation

I am trying to identify a lower unit as to rotation. When I pull up the shift shaft the prop shaft and the drive shaft both turn clockwise. Is this a standard rotation lower?

94 ocean pro 225. I need to do the seals. I have been trying to pull the carrier. I have been spraying it with a mix of wd40,pb blaster, and marvel mystery oil. My puller has the same thread as my prop shaft, so I tried it and lost half the thread on my puller. I tried heat but I'm not getting even heat, so I'm going to get a shrink wrap gun or maybe just use my seal puller and give up on the carrier. Then what I want to know won't matter till I find out it's a left hand rotational lower and I have to buy a prop.

Boobie asked what is the model number

The model number will tell you if it is a counter-rotation model or not

The model number guide can be found at the top of this page ............. There y' go you can look it up yourself

In your opening post you do not say if you are looking at the prop from the front or from behind the boat

If you look at a prop from behind the boat and it turns clockwise when going forwards it is a right handed prop. If it turns counter-clockwise it is a left handed prop
 
I bought this motor complete with no tag. It is a mutt. The lower came from an ocean pro. The power head was a rebuild. No prop.I never ran it. I thought somebody might be able to tell me from what I observed. With the shift shaft up, the prop shaft and the drive shaft both turn to the right(clockwise). I do not have a model number.

OK .

If pulling up the shift shaft engages forward gear ... I think it does ...... and the prop-shaft then rotates clockwise when the engine is rotated clockwise it is a standard rotation unit


Check the operation of the shift
 
I borrowed "The mother of all pullers" which either gets the carrier out or breaks it. Lucky me,it worked. Instead of just changing seals as I was going to, I found in addition to being a standard rotation lower, the prop shaft, bearings,and upper drive shaft are bad. Now I'll take apart my original lower and use that casing. A note to anyone with a similar situation. While the lower unit is apart, cover all parts in oil. They rust amazingly quickly!��
