I broke a piece of this part and cannot find where to get a new one, it is located under the flywheel and attached i guess to the cam?, the cam roller tracks on it when the throttle is moved. It is made of plastic and was weathered. It is a poor design to me.

On this part is a number (332090) (1984-1985)

I have searched for this part via the number but nothing comes up, does anyone know what this part is called and where to get a replacement?

If i cant find one i guess i will have to use JB weld.

Get your model number and go to the parts section of this website. I took a guess at it and came up with 0393735 retainer and link assy.

Retainer Part #393735. It appears to have been put on the NA listing sometime between 1999 and 2004... but somebody will have it.

It wouldnt hurt to try Tim's Outboard in Hackensack MN 218 682 2331. I would put a small drop of heavy weight oil on that roller spindle too. A drop of lube can go a long way, so often it is ignored. I have a molybdenum powder lube which works well also. Get at any parts store. Make sure you use only non oxy in this motor. Tube in float chamber....(later models) will be destroyed as well as upper crankshaft seal......among other things. I am being known here, among much heated discussion, as the "ANTI ETHANOL GUY".......ethanol has no place in the marine and aviation industry. Several states have reversed mandates on it, including Hawaii and Florida. In Maine it is now banned from sale. TRUTH! Minnesota, where I live has legislation to force 10 percent total fuel sales as ethanol. Good news for repair shops, bad news for consumers! E85 produces barely 70 percent the power as pure petrol.
