ID on late 70s early 80s evinrude and advice

"i think the serial is 135688g The second 8 is a maybe, cant really tell, looked like an upside down 2 so i think all it can be is an 8. I also have the say the telltake from the block in the back isnt hooked up at all to the exterior of the motor and it dosnt pump. I dont have alot of experience but ive never seen or dont recall seeing an outboard without a telltale, esp since my motor is basically this motors twin.. this is a 115, mines a 77 85. Thanks"

"Pictures are helpful, also the model number should be on the same tag, that helps if you can provide it,

as for the telltale, open the engine cover and see if there's a hose, and where it is, could be plugged and or not plugged in through the cowling, and is draining into the midsection."

Mine has a little hose which comes from that block in the back of the motor and drains to the outside through a hole in the base like most motors, this one theres no hose or anything from the block, just a hole and nothing comes from it. I have a picture but ic ant upload because its too large, ill try to get the model number"
