I have a Stator question.&#39

I have a Stator question.'68 100hp Starflite(100883B) getting no spark. Stator is black and the rim that runs under the flywheel is busted in pieces. Not good I think? what would somthing like that run and where do I find one? Is this a Part that needs to be new or can a used one be found?
the sensor under it may be bad also and or the Pulse Transformer. what kind $$$ am I looking at??? and is it worth it on and old engine? Thanks

"Hink.... I don't understa

"Hink.... I don't understand how that flywheel could be broken in pieces but I'll take your word for it.

The stator on that model has nothing to do with the ignition other than keeping the battery charged. However, the type powerpack that the engine has demands at least a 70 amp hour battery in tip top condition, so keeping the battery charged is a must.

I have a stator here that may be what you need. Green in color, attaches to the powerhead with three screws, has 12 coils, and two yellow wires leading from it. I also have a sensor, and a new improved universal powerpack left in stock.

The flywheel.... I might have one left but I'm not positive. Let me know what casting numbers are on the one you have and I'll check. Contact me at my e-mail address if you're interested. [email protected]

"Hink, If you need a flywheel, assuming Joe does not have one, let me know. I have a 1967 Johnson 100 HP and I am sure the flywheels are the same. E-mail me if you need the flywheel. Have a great day.

" I have a 1980 Johnson 150 Hp

" I have a 1980 Johnson 150 Hp outboard. I was running some quicksilver carb cleaner through the carbs and the shaft that the flywheel is connected to snapped and the engine died. When I say fly wheel I am refering to the round toothed plate that the starter engages when starting the engine? Are the shafts available for these engines, or did I just make a trotline weight out of my engine? Please help? The white bass are getting close to running here in Texas. "
