I have a 82 evinrude 75hp motor that doesn't have pwr trim and I want to put it on. I bought a pwr trim for it but don't know what else I need besides the thumb switch and throttle control nor do I know how to hook it all up an make it work lol. Thanks

First off how many wires go to the trim motor ??----Is it 2 or 3 wire type?-------Did you get a solenoid or relay box with it ?

You will need the box with the 2 relays and the bracket that mounts it on top of your carburetors.-------Look this up for say a 1986 70 HP model.

Sorry , I have no idea what you know or don't know about your motor.--------Look above the yellow line here for pictures of motors and parts.-------------Then you can say " I do not have those pieces "------------- The easy way is to visit a dealer and say " fix me up "

Dealers cost big bucks which I'm not willing to pay when I can do it myself and the closest dealer is hours away. When I posted this question I didn't know I was going to get hassled about it. I simply don know what it takes to convert this motor over so I have power tilt on it

The first step was to determine which unit you have because you did not state that or show a picture.----We now know that you have a " 2 wire motor unit "---------------Now that we know that it was stated that you need the relay box.------That is about the only way to make the motor run in 2 directions.-----------Look it up to see what that box looks like and then search for one on E-bay perhaps.----------They are not " all the same " when it comes to a specialized field , such as electrical stuff on outboards.

Ok how would I know if it's the right one?

Find out all you need to know at -------mastertechmarine------------Take some time and a few clicks to find the wiring diagram for the 2 wire motor.-------Then just hook up your blue and green wires according to the diagram !

If you go to eBay and put in item #120990888253 it's a relay kit I just bought for it so I hope it's the right one. now I need to get a new throttle controller with the tilt trim button in it and I found the controller handle but it's missing the button but I can order one off here if it's the right handle

Do the parts that you ordered look the same as what you would find on an 86 ---- 70 HP ??------Or on an 82 --70 HP ??---------Same pieces just housed in different boxes.--------The 82 mounts inside the boat transom and the 86 pieces mount on the motor above the carburetors.

You have to take the time to learn how to look these things up.----------Above the yellow line on this page or -----------shop.evinrude.com---------All the parts breakdowns illustrated just for you.-------------Look it up for an 82 -70 HP motor or an 85 --70 HP-----Power trim is the same just the relay box and mounting location is different ------------70 HP or 75 HP does not matter !!
