I need a starter...

I have a 1993 6 hp Evinrude E6RETB that I picked up recently. The seller had tried to repair it and for some reason removed the recoil starter and no longer knew it's location. I have the little motor running good now but I am having no luck finding a starter for it. I have the usual searches going on Ebay and whatnot... I was hoping one of you guys might know where I could find one or some other place to check. Thanks.

I am not aware of any near by. I guess that may be my best bet.

Our host marineengine.com sells new Johnson parts if you need to go that route. And provides a parts diagram for your convenience.

I checked every source of new parts I could find and the part is obsolete. I need a complete starter anyway. It would be awfully expensive to try to piece one together from new parts anyway. The only eBay hit I have found was on a broken one. LOL I need the complete unit.
