"Unit functions via the front

"Unit functions via the front switch means that nothing is wrong with the relays.

You've got three wires, red, blue, green.

Red to Green = Up
Red to Blue = Down

Wire the switch accordingly."

"i dont know,what sw u bought,

"i dont know,what sw u bought,...sounds like one,to run 2 diff things,..like a dash sw on newer boats,....to ck the wiring,u r trying to hook to,...strip back a half inch,..and conn red to blue,..red to green..it should operate,..if not,..get the correct sw,..and ck your wires for the trouble area,..poss a bad connection in one wire......
see if u have 12V on red...this is first step,..if so,..start checking the others,specifically,...looking for butt connections,that are corroded,broken etc...
your system,..is not the area of trbl as joe says...it works from other sw,...your wiring at back,....is the prob,unless it wks as i say above...ck that red wire.."

"The toggle switch with 3 pron

"The toggle switch with 3 prongs is called a Single Pole Double Throw switch, abbreviated to simply SPDT.

The toggle switch with 6 prongs is called a Double Pole Double Throw switch, abbreviated to simply DPDT. This switch is simply 2 of the 3 prong switches sitting side by side.

Ignore the 3 prongs on one side and connect the wires as shown below (The zeros represent the prongs).

Nothing here -> O....O <- Blue wire

Nothing here -> O....O <- Red wire

Nothing here -> O....O <- Green wire
