1984, 217-586751 and I'm looking for an owners manual, or reprint. I'm either going to fix the motor or get rid of it. If someone out there is knowledgeable about these motors that would be great also.

I have a 7.5hp Sears Gamefisher model 217-586-752 bought at a garage sell. I am a retired vet that was a mechanic in the military. I cleaned out the carb, adjusted it and installed the fuel pump at the correct 45 degree angle which fixed my loss of prime problem. I cleaned the points and fixed a continuity issue from corrosion, pulled head and removed carbon, fuel and oil deposits as it was pre-igniting and replaced broken water pump and installed new plugs, impeller and replaced gear lube. Installed new shear pin which I made from brass rods bought on eBay It now runs great but found out when you rev it high in forward gear it pops out, disassembled lower end and found a stripped clutch dog part 26866 have been unable to locate anywhere. I have tried eBay , Certified Marine, Brazilian Connection where I found and replaced a broken shift lever. Now I know why it was broken. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
