I have a 2004 90 horse Johnson.

Starts and idle's great runs up to about 3,800 RPM and starts to miss and tact bounces between 38 and 42. Have had carburetors rebuilt New plugs and wires and coils New fuel filter. Any suggestions would help
 
Run with a riming light.----See if you can pinpoint the cylinder that is loosing spark.----Or motor may be going into S.L.O.W. mode due to overheat.----Have you installed new impeller every 5 years ?
