I've got what is supposed to be an '89 115 Johnson. The powerhead was bought from E-Bay by the previous owner. From what I can find, OMC didn't make a 115 in 89. The numbers on the casting/freeze plug on the top of the block are 2BAXC011, with J0862042 underneath. The block is painted black, with a flat exhaust cover, and a top regulator in place of the lifting eye.

Can anyone tell me what year and hp this powerhead is??

thanks,
Bill

The model number indicates it's a Sea Drive powerhead. Still your basic V4 crossflow. There may be some differences in component mounting bosses but nothing that cannot be overcome as fas as swapping it to your outboard. Sea Drives were not given an actual hp rating (they were built under the Drive Systems banner) but are the same basic powerhead you have.
