Hydrofoil or not

Hi Guys, hope all is well, I have a 25hp Johnson on a well type boat, what that is, the motor sits in a well, not on the back, l love the power of this motor on my boat, but when I open it up, im getting alot of water up and over into my boat, do y'all think a those Hydrofoil fins would work, had a 9.9 on it and never had a problem, but i hate to have to down size again, boat moves so nice with the 25 on her,

is the length of the shaft the same of both motors ? (long shaft vs. vs short shaft)

not sure I understand why you ask this ?, the motor is a short shaft one, fits fine down in the water,

it makes a big difference if the shaft length on the other motor was longer than the one that you installed. also the trim pin adjustment on the new motor may need to be reset if the shaft length is the same.

oh I see, thanks, no they were the same, with the 25hp I get on plan fine, just with so much more power the wake behind the boat is bigger, and the water hits the side wells at a higher level, splashing all around, my guess is, a pair of fins will help,
