I HAVE A 175 HP OUTBOARD WITH POWER TRIM/TILT...THE TRIM WILL GO UP BUT WILL NOT COME DOWN... THE COIL IS MAKING NOISE LIKE IT WANTS TO WORK BUT DOES NOT LET ENGINE GO DOWN....TO LET IT DOWN I HAVE TO LOOSEN PRESSURE SCREW...WHAT DO YOU THINK???

"Brian.... It would help if you mention the year and make of the engine. However, if the PTT junction box has relays, switch them. If the probem reverses itself.... now goes down but not up, a relay is faulty.
