huge gas problem

i recently bought a 1989 110vro evinrude, my problem is it uses an abnormal amount of fuel and you can see fuel in the water. i checked the carb floats & fuel lines, all ok, so is there anything else that would cause this?

Is it running on all four cylinders ??

when i went to a mechanic i found i was running on 3 cylinders. would that cause it? i ran maybe 10 miles and burned 15 gals.

you should use 11 gallons per hour at wot on that engine in excellent operating condition...yes its possible...fix it and see what you get...

ive got the engine running on all 4 cylinders now, just havent had a chance to put in & run it. thanks for the response boobie
