how to wake up a optimax ecu

Hi all. My first post on this forum. I have a 2010 optimax 200 nhp dfi that I am trying to start on a stand. No console available. I understand that the ecu needs a signal from the crank position sensor in order to put a ground on the main relay to turn everything on. However, how do I put wake up power to the ecu so it can see that signal. I have 8 wires on the remote connector. five of the eight are obvious but three go to the ecu and I can't find out what those three are. colors are: Black/Yellow, Tan/sky blue and grey. All on the remote cable connector on the motor. I imagine one of those needs to be connected to +12 Vdc from the ign switch in order for the ecu to be alive. Can anyone tell me what those three wires are and how to wake up the ecu ??? CD

Ah, most excellent link. Thank you. I realize that I must have the merc switch in order to place the kill sig to the coils when in the off position. Regular auto ign switch does not have this feature. Also to wake up the ECU, it needs a +12Vdc on pin 1 which comes from the remote cable pin 2, PPL-GXL, wire. I think i'm good to go. will hook up a horn so i don't trash the motor with no guages on it ;). Thanks for your input. CD
