How to Tilt my 1959 Evinrude????

I am new to outboards, but am pretty knowledgeable...my '59 has the equipment to tilt the motor away/closer to the transom. It has a Locked/Unlocked lever on the front of the motor. When I unlock it I can not figure out how to tilt the motor away from the boat; or should I say, tilt the prop up and away. any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!!!

H.P. is 5.5.... and this is a pic of what I believe is the positioning equipment for the tilt. The Lock/Unlock is on the front of the motor.
