How to replace drive to transom shield water hose on AQ290 Aq151?

I'm replacing the clam shell fitting on the outdrive and would like to replace the water hose. Part # 40

The clam shell end is obvious (hose clamp), but the transom bracket side doesn't show a clamp. part #41

Do I remove the chrome Tube (2 bolts) from inside the bilge and it will become obvious? Anything to watch out for?

This suction hose is often referred to as the "S" hose, and the fitting is the "Water Neck" fitting.
You can get this through Volvo Penta or Sierra.

As for the "S" hose clamps...... it requires one at each end!
Notice that the SEQ # (seq # 40a in this case) does list two (2) clamps.

Thanks for the quick reply. Mine doesn't have a hose clamp where it enters the transom shield, but 40A does clearly show the need for 2 clamps. Easy enough to use 2.
