Good morning,

this weekend I plan on removing my transom so I can repair my transom with carbon core resign. I’m not sure of the lifting points to use or where to I’ve got a cherry picker to lift the motor. Any help or advice I’ll would be nice on this and I appreciate it. I know I’ve seen motors laying on there side would this hurt my motor if I did that for 2 weeks at most I just don’t want to do anything that will hurt my motor? Thank you have a great day.

Normally a lifting ring is attached to the three threaded bolt holes you see surrounding the flywheel nut. That allows the engine to be lifter perfectly vertically.

Lay the engine down on its back... It's a good idea to drain the carburetors first.

The lifting " tool " is cheaper than potential big $ damage to the motor.-----Best to invest in one.------I remove the flywheel nut and screw on an adapter to lift these things.

I’m looking up the lifting eye and I’m not sure which eye I would need would you all know and show a picture of it maybe please? Thank you
