I just recently purchased a 2007 Tohatsu 8HP 4-stroke. I will be using it on my Olson 25 (sailboat) and would like to lock the motor in place so that I can use my tiler for steering instead of the motor. I was using a 2001 Yamaha 5HP 2-stroke prior and was able to accomplish this by using a locking mechanism built-in on the motor but it seems I am missing how to do this with the Tohatsu - also mentions nothing in the owner's manual, so I wonder if there is an actual option for this motor? Curious if anyone knew how or if there is an ingenious way to lock the motor from turning. Thanks!
