How to Identify Helm?

Hello, Captains!

My steering wheel is hard to turn. I already replaced the cable, but the issue persists, and it seems to be a problem with the helm. I'm checking eBay, but the listings all look a bit different. Could someone help me identify the exact helm installed on my 2005 Monterey 282? Its Teleflex, but which one exactly? Thanks in advance!

looks like you took the wheel apart vs removing it from the helm's shaft....

to me it looks like the original SAFE-T steering head with the tilt function. If you are going to replace it, I'd say go for the NFB system (SAFE-T II). The Teleflex literature says the new version is plug and play (drop in replacement) for the older version...don't know if that applies to the tilt adapter or not...

Can SeaStar be a replacement for Teleflex?

If I change only the steering helm mechanism, will it fit the Teleflex tilt mechanism, or do I need to replace the tilt mechanism as well?
