"My Father in law was a engine

"My Father in law was a engineer and served as ground staff servicing world war 2 planes during the war. We had a bolt on my jaguar that had the same problem.

Using his patience and experience he careful made a screw head with a metal saw across the bolt, spayed the whole thing with WD 40. left it over night and with a good quality swrewdriver and a pair of mole grip unscrewed the bolt 24 hours later -its worth a try"

The only way to get a stripped

The only way to get a stripped allen head bolt out without destroying the trim tab is to get a drill and a drill bit and drill the head off through the access hole in the upper gear case.

The bolt itself is I believe a 7/16 -14 so I would use a 3/8" or 7/16 bit and wich ever is easiest and drill down thru the allen head.

This takes some patients but is relitivly easy and once you have drilled deep enough you should be able to punch the bolt through. If not step up to a 7/16 drill bit and try again.

I have had to do this many many times............

Got it off. Heated the tab wit

Got it off. Heated the tab with my torch and it expanded enough to allow the bolt to back out. Fortunatly was still able to get allen to hold just enough to back out. After heating it turned fairly easy. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. Bebo
