"None, mercathode has nothing

"None, mercathode has nothing to do with starting.
Now if you mean the slave solenoid mounted nearby, short the 2 large lugs."

DUH!!!! Ok found it no problem

DUH!!!! Ok found it no problem. No on to next issue. Will crank and start by jumping here but get no spark when I try to start by using the key @ the ignition switch. (no sound from the starter at all) Recently overheated and turned out to be the water pump but since I shut the engine down have not been able to get the key to engage the ignition. However I had a similar problem at the first of the year. When I first tried to start it I got nothing. After turning the main power off and on i finally got it to start and after that it started ever time until now. Any ideas??

Check for 12 volts at the base

Check for 12 volts at the base of the slave sol. w/key held in start position. If it has 12 volts then replace the slave sol. If not then work back to the key switch wiring.
