I have a 2024 mercury 40 4 stroke efi and the throttle doesn't start responding until the throttle lever is substantially moved. I'd say 2/3 of the way and then small adjustments create a big difference in throttle.
It isn't a HUGE issue for me since I've learned it quite well and the boat goes into gear and idles just fine. I don't know why I can't find a simple video or manual online on how to adjust this.
