"If the boat is only a few yea

"If the boat is only a few years old (you didn't specify), NADA says 10K would be a low end price...."

"i think the boat is 3 yrs old

"i think the boat is 3 yrs old is that 10k dollars or euro, thanks for replying, i live in ireland in waterford were surrounded by water so i said it was time i started to take advantage of it"

"Robert, NADA is a company tha

"Robert, NADA is a company that provides a "book value" for boats/motors (among other items). It appears to be geared to the North American market.

In Ireland, your "local market" could be significantly different.

So, here, in N.A. at 3 years old the boat is valued at $6000-7000 USD, the motor $3000-$4000, and then throw in a bit more for trailer and the "junk" included. That's why I gave you the fast quote of about 10K (USD).

That is the "book value" in most of North America and doesn't always reflect the selling price. NADA also lists say a 1990 9.9 horse motor at a value of about 300 bucks - well, within say 500 miles of where I am, a 9.9 will easily sell for a 1000.

So the book price is just that, something to "start" with, if the price seems reasonable to other similiar in your area, then it's probably ok - if it is quite a bit less, beware, nobody sells a "runs great, nothing wrong with it at all" for half the "local price"."

"Robert, yes, I would never pa

"Robert, yes, I would never pass over a "good deal", as long as it is "good". Have a good look at the rig, if it looks like it was taken care of and the motor starts/idles ok, then maybe you just caught a lucky find

"just found out the motor stil

"just found out the motor still has 6 months warranty left on it i think it seems ok. how safe are these ribs on the water he has told me that he has pulled a skier behind it, is this a good idea and would a 50hp engine be strong enough. sorry for being a pest graham but you seem to be in the know.

"The rigid inflatables, or RIB

"The rigid inflatables, or RIB's, for the most part, are very stable on the water, often used by emergency agencies because of that.

And yes, 50 horses on that boat would pull a skier, although myself, I never thought of that use for that particular boat - but you make do with what you have.

Your boat should suit your lifestyle. I have a small fishing rig, that's what I use it for. If this boat will suit what you are looking to get into, then maybe you have found a good deal...."
