How do you upload a picture now?

I tried to upload a picture by selecting insert image, then selecting the image and clicking on upload. It showed that it was uploading, but when done and I closed the window, there was nothing there.
What's the trick to do this?

Yes.... I agree, keep the files relatively small.

There are several ways to post a photo in with your posting while in "Advanced" mode.

One is to stay in "editor source mode" ... the "A/A" icon to the far left ..... (not WYSIWYG mode), and open up a web hosted photo.
Copy the image to clipboard, and paste into the text field.
Do a preview.

Another method while in "editor source mode", is to open up a web hosted photo.
Go to image "properties" and copy the URL to clipboard.
Then "image tag" the URL by placing it between image tags....... I.E., [ img ] <URL here> [ /img ] with no spaces.

Example:
[ img ] http : // www . XYZwebsite . com. 2369495 . jpg [ /img] but again, with no spaces anywhere.
Do a preview.

As for uploading photos...... click on the "attachments" icon, select "Add Files", search your folders/files, click on the file that you want to post, and then select "up-load".
Once you see the thumbnail view appear........, click "done" and do a preview.
These files will remain in your MarineEngines.com attachments file.

As neither an upload or a hosted photo..... you can do a "hyperlinked" photo.
Again, go to image "properties", and copy the URL to clipboard.

Come back to your ME.com page
Type a few words that will become the "hyperlink text".
Highlite this text and click on the "link" icon above (the earth icon).
Paste the URL into the text box that appears for you.

Do a preview.

A hyperlink should appear.
Click on the hyperlink, and it should open up the image.

If you'll bold the text, it seems to show up better.

Example:
See this image of the Hamburger that I grilled last night.

The URL for this image is http : //affotd .files. wordpress.com/2011/02/fried_hamburger . jpg (but with no spaces)
