"My motor has no spark. I think the trigger on my motor is bad but, the manual I am using doesn't seem to match what I have. Some of the colors are different or in a different order. The motor had spark but I apperently did not ground my plugs right when I tried to time it. The manual said to remove the wires and ground them. After that no spark"

I checked the kill switch and it's ok. Just replaced the switch box and tested the stator per the book has 1.1 olm on the yellow wires. Any other ideas would be appriciated.
Thanks Danny

"There are 2 yellow, and one each blue, red and black. The black goes to ground and the blue and red go to the switch. Any testing advice?
Thanks Danny"

"Bandit I can't thank you enought for your help. I tested the stator and got 146 ohls on the red wire but only 750 ohlms on the blue. On the trigger I got 1235 on the brown, 1254 on the white and 1273 ohms on the violet wire. Does that mean the trigger is good and the stator is bad? Would not having the plugs properly grounded have ruined the stator.
Thanks again Danny"

"Ungrounded plugs might kick back into the switchbox. But, that blue ohms is no where near. That would do it. Without the benifit of the special DVA voltage adaptor there is no way to verifiy anything. That is as close as you can get.

WHAT IS IMPROTANT IS THAT THE SWITCH BOX MUST BE GROUNDED (CASE TO ENGINE BLOCK) OR THE SWITCH BOX MAY BE DAMAGED.

The box may also be bad now. A failing stator will take out the box sometimes. "

THe stator that you have is Me

THe stator that you have is Merc or CDI?

Flywheel with Bolted-in Magnets:
WIRE Read To OEM| RESISTANCE| |CDI RESISTANCE
Blue Engine GND | 5800-7000 | |2200-2400
Red Engine GND | 135-165 | | 45-55

Flywheel with Glued-in Magnets

WIRE Read To |OEM RESISTANCE| CDI RESISTANCE
Blue Engine GND| 3250-3650 |500-600
Red Engine GND | 75-90 | |28-32
Red Stator Kit
WIRE Read To |OEM RESISTANCE |CDI RESISTANCE Wt/Gn Gn/Wt |500-700 | 500-600 Blue

The magnets are bolted in. I

The magnets are bolted in. I did buy a new switch box and made sure it was well grounded. So does that pretty much narrow it down to the stator.
Tahanks Danny
