How do I get the lower unit off

" I have a 65' Evinrude 55

" I have a 65' Evinrude 55hp motor and need to replace the shifting solenoids in the lower unit. I have taken off the prop and 4 bolts above the prop connecting to the upper half of the motor.

After I replace these solenoids I am selling the motor so I dont want to invest 50$ in a manual, any ideas on what I may be missing???

You could go to the library a

You could go to the library and take out a manual for free. That's what I did. I just removed the lower unit on my 90hp and there was a couple of bolts at the back end also. I had to remove the trim plate and there was a bolt under the trim platet and there was also one just ahead of it but I don't know if a 1965 will be the same as my 88. Hope it helps.
