I have a 1998 175hp Johnson and I need to adjust the gear shift but I only have the Surface Mount Control Installation Manual that does not mention adjustment.
Going into forward or reverse is OK from neutral but to get out of forward into neutral I have to move the lever back past the neutral position.
Can anyone please advise what I should adjust and where?
Maybe I should mention that the remote was not installed well so the cable has only a 3" or 4" radius immediately behind the control. I will be changing this ASAP to get a bigger radius.
