I was told that I should inves

I was told that I should invest in a 1 or 2 step hotter plug for my 'rude!! I know that in my stock car hotter plugs do wonders. I don't know marine motors that well though. I'm still learning. What would a hotter plug do to my engine. Would I be wasting time and money going hotter?

"Paul.... The proper spark plugs for that engine is the Champion QL77JC4 plug gapped at .040 .

A hotter plug than that will result in piston damage.

If the engine does not run properly with those spark plugs, the problem lies elsewhere."
