"Hi, I noticed the other day when I was running the boat in the yard on the water muffs the two holes where the water runs back out one was pouring out water that was quite a bit warmer than the other. The other side was about room temp and the other is hot enough to not want to leave your hand there for more than a couple of seconds. Is this normal? Thanks"

One side always runs warmer than the other. If you can lay your hand on top of the manifolds w/o having to remove it due to heat; all is well.

Its the 305 and its a 99 model

Its the 305 and its a 99 model year. If I remember correctly the manual states that is the operating temp

Merc. PN: 807252T2 is a 160 deg. F. listed for that model year. If the manual calls for it to run @ 175 deg. F. then so be it.
