Hot water from pie stream

Hi everybody, can some one help me, just cane back from fishing trip, while cruising i look to the back and my eye catch the pie/pea
stream and see its like steam coming out, i stop and feel the water and it was hot like hot.I then took the boat out and let it run and then while running the water runs low, is there a probem or not i am worried that can damage my motor its a 115 Mariner (6L)

You need to look at this !!!---------The impeller in the pump needs to be replaced.----------------------Impellers are the most neglected part on outboards and most people learn through the wallet ( rebuilding or replacing entire motor )----------Do not run motor anymore ----replace the impeller !!
