Honda remote key

Looking to get a spare key. Is the key generic or does it have to match the year or type of remote. I have a 1998 50 hp honda outboard.

If you have the original key switch for your motor, then the part number for the key is [h=5]35110-ZV5-003. You can order on line or through your local Honda Dealer.[/h]
