Honda Gearshift for BF30

If you just need a parts drawing...check out boats.net. This is a link to one year of the BF30. http://www.boats.net/parts/search/H...2003/BF30A3 LRSA VIN# BAWS-3300001/parts.html

In general, the remotes have not changed over the years a whole lot. If you need to order parts, dig further on the site and get your exact year. It has a breakdown of all the Honda remotes....Just a word of advice, before you start taking parts out of the shifter to replace internal parts...

First...make sure that the throttle and shift cables are properly adjusted at the motor. If you are not, it will make the shifting hard.

Second...disconnect the cables at the motor only...and see how hard it is to shift and throttle from the box. If it is easy, then the cables were not adjusted correctly or they got themselves kinked...most likely right in front of the motor.

Third....also disconnect the cables at the shifter. If they are disconnected at both ends, the inner core should slide very smoothly. If you feel any sticking, change the cables. I say cables. Since you are going through all that work to pull everything apart $30 more bucks for a second cable will save you aggrevation in the future.
