Honda BF90D oil filter

i went to buy oil and oil filter from local agent for my Honda bf90d 2010 and they gave me the Honda Fit oil filter they told me it is the same one is this correct or the marine oil filter has any difference ? Thanks
 
If I put that number in the Honda parts program, it supersedes to 15400-RTA-003, then supersedes to 15400-PLM-A01 (which is the current number for the oil filter for the 90 HP). It does not indicate that your part number has ever been used with any Honda outboard.

You would think by that, that they are the same. The part number difference could just be that Honda is getting the filters from a different source.

Bottom line....I can make some assumptions, but I can not tell for sure.

It could be that they brought then from somewhere in Europe since i am from Malta and the part no will have some difference to identify where are brought from
