Honda BF8A 8HP XT shaft motor mounts

Long story short, my motor mounts are broken and need to be replaced. The shop is telling me a time consuming disassembly/reassembly operation to the tune of 8-10 hours work or about $1000. For a motor that I just bought for $1000? I don't think so. I plan on doing the grunt work myself and having them do a good "going over" afterwards. So . . . does anybody know a way to replace the $25 part more easily than taking everything apart?
