Thanks. I found it but there wasn't any apparent junk in it. I'll try washing it out and see if the speedo registers.

When they plug up..and they all do you can't see the crap as it will be very small...if you can't get it clear without dropping the gearcase forget it! You will only be plugged up again in short time. I use my gps for true speed over land and a paddle wheel on my sounder for trolling speed over water when fishing. I cut and plugged off my engine speedo tube the first time I dropped the gearcase to put in a new pump impeller.

"Thanks, and I have a full Raymarine package but it would have been nice to be able to use the God given speedo on the super expensive Honda 4's.

I've got it on the hard today to wax the hull and I'll try a hose fix.
