Honda BF225 Internal Anode replacement

Just recently discovered there are 2 Internal Anodes in my Honda 2002 BF225. I'm the second owner of the motor as of 2006 and have kepted up with the routine maintenance activities however never knew they were there. :eek:

I'm located in Staten Island NY and use the boat in a salt water so they are probably almost completely gone.

Was wondering if anyone has ever replace the Internal Anodes on a BF225? Was it a difficult of a job? :confused: Also what parts (gaskets, o rings, other stuff) would be needed to perform the task.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rob,

Should be reasonably easy job, remove both exhaust manifolds and replace anodes. You may need screws as well

2 x 12155-ZV5-000 Anodes
2 x 93500-06018-4J Screw
1 x 18115-ZY3-003 Gasket rh
1 x 18125-ZY3-003 Gasket lh

Hey John, Thanks for the reply and taking the extra time to include the part numbers as well! Looks like I'll be doing this myself in a week or two being the boat needs to be pulled out for the lower unit oil to be changed.
