Honda BF225 fuel pump question

Question: I have a 2006 Honda 225 HP serial number BAGJ – 1402456, do you know what fuel pump is responsible for keeping fuel in the line between the tank and the motor? I have found that there are 2x different fuel pumps (hi and low pressure). Here is the problem: I can drive all day long at low RPM/idle (under 2000 RPM) however; when I pour the coals to it and try to attempt to get on step it stutters for fuel and ultimately dies. The easy temporary fix that always works is using the inline bulb primer that sits on the extended transom. I have somebody squeeze it constantly as it is always a hollow squeeze (limited fuel in the line) and after being at over 4000 RPM for approx 2 minutes, they can quit squeezing the primer and I can proceed to drive all day until I stop to idle and then the problem reoccurs. I know it is the hi or the low pressure pump, just need to get it nailed down. I have eliminated all other elements of fuel delivery as recommended by very helpful members on this forum (filters, fuel line, fuel vent, etc). Any help would be much appreciated.

The low pressure pump, pumps the fuel from the tank into the vapor separator. From there the high pressure, pressurizes the fuel for the injectors.

I was having the same problem, but often times my 225 won't start because the bulb went soft. I changed the high & low pressure filters, o-rings and also waterseparator and problem solved. I'd start there first. If fuel has been sitting the tank for a long time this problem will occur.
