Honda BF 15 electric start.

I have oil leaking from it appears a small holes in the lower leg just above the cav plate. What could be the possible cause.

I don't know much about the 15's, but those are probably drain holes, designed to drain ALL of the water out of the lower units. Why you have oil running from them is a good question. Or better yet, is where that oil is coming from. Have you checked you lower unit for water and oil level? Have you given the oil a sniff test? Lower unit oil sometimes has a pretty distinct smell not present in crankcase oil.

I not long ago had the mechanic replace the impeller. I wonder if this oil is bypassing a seal.
I will give it the sniff test. Water does not appear in the oil of either place.
