I run twin 2005 Honda 225'

I run twin 2005 Honda 225's and recently have been getting warning alarm when I come off of plane after running for a while. Sometimes I can get the alarm to stop if I turn off and restart the engine. Only seems to occur at low or idle speeds. Was specific to one engine but last trip occurred on both. I welcome suggestions and/or advice. Thanks in advance.

"Update,
One engine is giving me Alternator(ACG) light and beep, the other is Programed Feul Injector(PGM-FI) light and beep."

"Aristakat,
Were you getting ACG and PGM-FI warning beeps?

Is the o2 sensor something that you replaced yourself or does it require specialized knowledge?
Thanks"

"not sure about what type beep

"not sure about what type beeps but was the second or third time I have had to replace o2 sensor common problem with Honda's. I have seen lots of internet comments about just this problem. As far as doing your self its super easy its shaped like a spark plug head and other end is a connection you unplug and thats it. Alarm would come on during low or idle speeds only not at high speeds. heres link where I ordered mine: http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/H-35655-ZY3-003.html
I would reccomend calling them to ensure you get right part, once you get part you will be able to match on back side of power head in front of plugs"

did you do it your self ?The way to help with reoccuring problem is trim up motors as you came of plane and also when putting on trailer make sure to trim motors up high so they are not sucking in water in the exhaust ports as boat is put on trailer

"I started to do it myself but I was unsure of the problem and I did not want to purchase a $200 part without knowing for sure that it was the cause of the problem. You nailed the diagnosis!
I have a much bigger problem now. I was doing routine maintenence yesterday- oil change, impellers, lower gear case oil. Everything went smoothly until it was time to change the plugs on the port engine. Broke off the spark plug threads, leaving half of the threads in the head. went thru the process of removing exhaust manifold, and head cover. Tried heating the threads then used a easy-out tool with impact driver. No luck. Had a marine mechanic freind stop by for advice and guidance and he is confident that salt water is entering the block causing the plugs to corrode and bind. Will be calling Honda on Monday for guidance. Original warrnaty is expired but currently under extended warranty thru FPC."
