"i have a 1987 volvo penta aq131a and it is running between 70-80 psi at about 1500-1700 rpm, it has no oil coolerm so is this normal or what could be the cause

"Causes I can think of include

"Causes I can think of include the oil being too cold, the oil being of high viscosity grade, the relief valve in the oil pump being clogged or stuck, and a faulty gauge or sender.

If the oil is of the correct grade and the oil pressure is around 40-60 psi after the engine warms up, then I wouldn't worry about it."
