Is your motor fuel injected or carby??

"I have come across this problem, not so much in carby models more in fuel injected.
Check the needle and seats in all of the carbies including float levels. Check the diaphram in the mechanical fuel pump, if this has a slight hole it will allow fuel into the sump area and cause the engine to make oil. With a fuel injected model you have to replace the needle and seat in the VST this normaly will cure the problem. Old or stale fuel can also cause this. I hope this helps."

We have had chronic problem with the fuel injected models. We run several 115's 200's and 250's and they ALL get gas in the oil (Crank Case)our mechanic changes the T-Stat and say to run synthetic because conventional oil is causing carbon on the valves and the fuel is coming in the exhaust valves (I think it wasthe exhaust valve anyway) but they all do it and it is a dissapointing to have this many problem and Yamaha has not addressed it!
