Hello boaters!
I'm new to forum use, and I apologize if I've repeated a question here.
I have a '77 Evinrude 140hp, s/n# 140743s.
I live in Montana and have several lakes at various elevation to enjoy. My boat primarily operates on about 7000ft at Hebgen lake near West Yellowstone. I have the Johnson/Evinrude Seloc manual, but I cannot seem to find information about jetting or prop size for elevation.
My current issue is a good delay between what she initially puts out and when she gets up to plane. It's usually about 30s-1min and not easy for some folks to stand up on skis. There is no faltering once she planes, it holds very well.
I'm looking for any information about jetting or prop size, or anything y'all think might be relevant on 7000ft and down to about 2500ft.

Thanks for your input, and happy boating!

Your local dealer should have a chart for proper jetting at your elevation. There are also charts for proper prop size.
