" I have a 1977 35hp johnson that ive been trying to repair. It Idles great, but it wont accelerate. Ive checked the fuel pump, tank filter, fuel lines, and float "didn't go any further into carb". Could it be the carb, the bulb, something electrical? it sometimes will run ok on full choke. Also, tonight, it wouldn't accelerate, but after pulling up to the dock, and pulling back out, the boat ran great for about two minuts, then just died. It cranked back up, but wouldn't accelerate. I am at my wits end. Also could it be a pin hole in the fuel pump? ANY info would be GREATLY appreciated.

You've described a engine

You've described a engine with a fouled carburetor. Clean and rebuild the carburetor with a complete carb kit.
