"I am rebuilding a mid fifty's 331 marine hemi and transmission. It is a direct drive setup, does anyone know where I can get overhauling info on the transmission. I don't know transmission type but if it helps it uses engine oil via the oil pan, it also has a large (about 8 1/2 inch ) clutch band inside which engages when you move the shift lever back and forth.
