Helping identifying a 5hp 2 stroke (pics inside)

Hi all first post so be kind!

I bought a lovely 5hp Mariner 2 stroke today, fantastic condition just had a full service and new impeller.

I've typed the serial into a few sites to find out some more information about it but none of them seem to recognise the number, any ideas?

I did see somewhere suggesting the serial range was 1993 but the internals are so spotless I couldn’t believe it.

serial is on the second pic reads to me as 09763807
