"hi i have all the aq80 b1 engine installed and have wired up so it turns over on the key and power to the coilbut i have a blue nd yellow left over these go to what looks like a capasitor what it for and can anyone tell me were these go to and can i install a oil presure switch rather than the manual one and also the temp switch???

"Capacitors have two poles; this looks more like an old fashion relay to me.

Also, I'm afraid there is not much information around about equipment that was discontinued on the very early 60s. Remember that the AQ80 is the first Aquamatic model that Volvo Penta ever made, so your search options may be limited to eBay or to antique book stores (or even museums).

thanks for that im watching one on ebay now great help there what would this relay be for as one of the wires the green one is the ignition power to coil?

"Does your engine have a DC generator instead of an alternator? If so, that unidentified gadget could be a relay working as charge regulator."
