I'm trying to locate the proper universal spiders for my DP drive. I thought I was on the right track until a part number on the universal thew me for a loop. I have the DP-D drive 1.78:1 ratio. I also have the Volvo Penta DP-D1 Upper Gear Unit parts diagram dated November 22, 2005. According to the exploded diagram, the spiders are part number (old#) 854619. This cross references with new # 3860232. I can find these in a couple of places for just over 100$. Now, the problem is: there's a Volvo Part number 3860224 on the universal intermediate section that doesn't match up with anything in the manual I have, or can locate online anyplace. My parts diagram says this should be part # 3858283. Do I have an oddball universal in mine?
