Help with an Idle Problem

" I have a '01 8 HP Evenru

" I have a '01 8 HP Evenrude that won't run so fine after this winter's rest.
I can start her but as soon as I throttle back she wants to die. Have taken off the Carb and cleaned it as best I can with Carb cleaner. If I keep the choke on she runs at high RPM, and I can throttle back, but as soon as I push the choke in she wants to die. Looks like the low idle jet to me but as best I can tell it is clear.
Any ideas?? "

John.... Some passageway of that carburetor is still fouled or you have a faulty gasket somewhere within it. Usually it's fouled.
