Help with 99 choke problem PLZ

Trying to fix a customers 1997

Trying to fix a customers 1997 9.9 four stroke Mariner.
The fuel enrichment solenoid is not being activated. Can't find any manuals in my area. Anyone have knowledge on how the choke system works or a wiring diagram???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Jim
 
You have the Electrothermal Va

You have the Electrothermal Valve? The stator has a seperate power coil with two black wires?

Or a solonoid pull in for the flap choke wired to the key?

Not sure what everything is called but, there is a solenoid with a needle on top of the carb with 2 black wires. We replaced that Wires are about 4" long and have the push together style ends.
My mechanic was saying that it appeared they went up to the stator. He thought (as a guess) that the stator could be bad and FYI it's no longer available from Mariner. Before we started guessing at this problem, I wanted to see if we could get some knowledgeable help. I hate just throwing parts at a problem.

There must be a timer, relay, temp sensor etc..
Do you have a service manual for this 9.9 by any chance??

"I do have the manual on PDF, but there is not much in it. There are no other switches in the circuit. PITA to E-mail that large a file. "
