help with 15hp johnson

Hi

I have a 1956 15hp johnson that I'm going to put new coils,points and condensers in it. when setting the gap on the points does it matter where the throttle on the tiller is set at or should it be all the way in the stop position.

When you set the gap by feeling gauge, turn the crankshaft clockwise until the "TOP" area is against the follower and adjust the gap to 0,5 mm.
